2011 was a most challenging year in that it marked the end of my career as a full time NHS GP.

Previously a two doctor GP Practice on Richmond Hill, Richmond, London, the retirement of my GP colleague of 14 years found me trying to run the practice with a salaried doctor. For financial and managerial reasons this experiment failed and I made the decision to take early retirement and hand the practice over to a new set of doctors to run. I found myself in a position to pursue a long-cherished dream – that of starting a new career as GP specialising in practical knowledge of Health-related information that was outside the medical mainstream. (detailed in the next Archive Drawer). I set up a website to deal with the materials in drawer one plus other non-medical materials of a philosophical nature.
