Between 2008 and 2024 I had completed some ten projects which included four published books.
I ended up with six websites, each one started at a different time and dealing with a specific topic.
Now, in my seventies I have decided to retire from doing any more projects and to put all my materials under one umbrella, so that all my life’s work can be archived and old materials and projects can be retrieved if this was to be of interest to somebody at some time in the future.
The plan for this project is to create several Archive Drawers. Exactly like old fashioned drawers in an office cabinet each project material is put in the separate drawer. There is no effort to tidy the material too much and it is to be remembered that some materials and views are dated, and relevant to the project at the time. Also my understanding and presentation of materials and ideas will have changed over time.
I will give a brief introduction to the contents and the Drawers are arranged in chronological order.
ARCHIVE DRAWER ONE. 2009. 4 DVD Set . Going Nowhere -Journey Into The Tao.
The back story : Having spent a lifetime exploring Meditation and Metaphysics alongside my occupation as a full time medical doctor /GP, in 2006 I felt I had particular insights that I had to share with a wider audience. I decided upon one hour long Power Point Presentations covering Meditation, Mysticism ,Medicine and Books, which could be filmed with a camcorder and form an audio visual presentation for a DVD format. It took over a year to prepare the materials for projection onto a screen as slides but the filming was finally done in the Christmas of 2008, and the DVD set was produced. For interested parties looking at this material, it must be remembered that my words and views were ones I held 20 years ago.

2011 was a most challenging year in that it marked the end of my career as a full time NHS GP.
Previously a two doctor GP Practice on Richmond Hill, Richmond, London ,the retirement of my GP colleague of 14 years found me trying to run the practice with a salaried doctor. For financial and managerial reasons this experiment failed and I made the decision to take early retirement and hand the practice over to a new set of doctors to run. I found myself in a position to pursue a long cherished dream – that of starting a new career as GP specialising in practical knowledge of Health related information that was outside the medical mainstream.(detailed in the next Archive Drawer). I set up a website to deal with the materials in drawer one plus other other non medical materials of a philosophical nature.

ARCHIVE DRAWER THREE. 2012. ex website soulacemedicalpractice.com
This was my process of setting myself up as a GP specialising in knowledge about Complementary and Alternative Medicine as an adjunct to conventional medicine and also as a GP specialising in knowledge about Psychological Therapies outside the medical mainstream. Over the years I saw a great many clients. I did this as a hobby in retirement rather than for gainful employment and clients either paid nothing or made donations to a dog rescue charity I specifically support.

ARCHIVE DRAWER THREE. 2014. Book on Buddhism.
Between 2012 and 2014 I found myself drawn to watch Internet Talks by the Buddhist Monk Ajahn Brahm based in Australia. I felt drawn to take down notes and points from these talks and create a little book. I self published this under the title ‘The Art of Letting Go’

The Gita ,which is a kind of bible in relation to Hinduism, has been something of a personal bible throughout my life. The English version is about three hours long and I read the book cover to cover countless times. I could find no good English Audio on the internet and so decided to create one .

ARCHIVE DRAWER FIVE. 2019. Publication of three books on Amazon.
As the years went by I felt drawn to the idea of putting my knowledge related to my medical practice into book form. In the fields of both physical and mental health I had collated knowledge which was in its own way unique. Leaving it in book form ensured the knowledge remained even if I was no longer around. To this end I worked on three separate books which I published simultaneously . 1 Holistic Approaches to Mental Health 2) Lorenzo’s Opinion – A book on Complementary Therapies 3) Weight Loss Diets- A book on Nutrition.

During lockdown I got involved in teaching mental health therapy skills , on Zoom, to a friend who wanted to transition from a physical therapist into an on line talking therapist.
The provision of Psychological Services outside the NHS is subject to little to no formal regulation.
There is no enforceable legal regulation for a Talking Therapist to have either a Certificate or Insurance. Based on a lifetime of practice as a GP and a GP specialising in knowledge of a variety of psychological approaches , and as an author of a book on the subject, I devised a method where interested parties could train themselves for free and set up in on line practice as Therapists using resources available for free on the internet. ARCHIVE DRAWER SEVEN. 2024. Short Video talks on Metaphysical Topics.
As I had already learned the basics of creating short videos at home I felt drawn to summarise my views on Spiritual and Metaphysical topics for the benefit of a wider audience. By way of background, I have been continuously involved with spiritual teachings, gurus, spiritual groups and the study of Comparative Religion since 1974. My involvement has been such that outside of my work and social connections as an NHS GP, over 90% of my friends and social circle have been with people with similar drives and interests. To get a feel of what it means ‘to find one’s tribe’ please look at the website www.batgap.com where there are over 750 interviews/ conversations with ‘spiritually awakening individuals’.

Letter from The King.
In Jan 2026, I sent King Charles a copy of my 2019 book Lorenzo’s Opinion, in which I had acknowledged his role in supporting Complementary and Alternative Medicine and in my letter, I detailed some of the things he had done, as a young Prince Charles. I was delighted to receive a reply, shown here.
